Berthoud’s community swimming pool is open to the public every summer. Swimming lessons for all ages and abilities are available.
Roberts Lake in Berthoud is a gorgeous, open park with walking trails as well as a dock to view the lake. This is a great park for fishing, relaxing, and long strolls.
Berthoud’s own Fickel Park features sculptures created by local artists, surrounded by huge shade trees and many great picnicking areas. The park also offers a newly surfaced tennis court complete with lights.
The Berthoud Skate Park features quarter pipes as well as numerous obstacles like boxes and rails. The park is open to the public and welcomes both skateboarders and bikers.
Located next to the community swimming pool, Berthoud’s Town Park has everything from a playground to volleyball, basketball and tennis courts to horseshoe pits. Two pavilions are available to rent, featuring picnic tables, grills and restrooms.
Berthoud Community Library
The Berthoud Community Library, a beautiful building constructed in 1995, offers a variety of reading materials, cds, dvds and more to the public. In addition, the library offers programs for kids as well as adults and provides access to computers.
An annual celebration, Berthoud Day is a festival providing entertainment for the whole community. The day begins with a pancake breakfast, followed by a 5k race and a day filled with great food and fun for all ages. A vintage baseball game is played in a nearby baseball field.
Berthoud’s newest festival, Oktoberfest, is a fun day of food, beer, music and dancing! Patrons will also enjoy local arts & crafts, children’s activities, bicycle race and a scarecrow parade.
Little Thompson Valley Pioneer Museum
Located in several historic buildings, the Little Thompson Valley Pioneer Museum houses hundreds of Berthoud artifacts and is a fantastic resource for local history. Pre-arranged tours are available at no cost.
